Abdia is currently developing specific matched pairs of antibodies for the detection of Yersinia ruckeri infections in Salmonidae fish. Yersinia ruckeri is commonly known to cause red mouth diease in rainbow trouts. Rainbow trout is the species of choice for fish farming in North America, therefore it is important for the development of antibodies that are capable of diagnosing Yersinia ruckeri. The development of the antibodies will be expected to be successfully completed in mid-2014.
